Having grown up in care, Saeed is acutely aware of how young people from disadvantaged backgrounds can be overlooked when it comes to learning valuable life skills and having a voice in their future.
Saeed’s work is all about equity, diversity and inclusion with a view to reducing inequalities in society today.
Saeed is the CEO of Youth Leads UK and a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester. He holds several board positions, advisory roles and Patronages.

CEO, Youth Leads UK
At the age of 15, Saeed established the charity Youth Leads UK which aims to upskill young people in Greater Manchester through social action and volunteering opportunities while connecting them to decision-makers.
Deputy Lieutenant
In 2019, Saeed became the youngest Deputy Lieutenant in history. He serves as a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, his home county. Representing His Majesty the King’s Lord-Lieutenant in the county, Saeed undertakes ceremonial duties as and when required by the Lieutenancy. Typical duties include wreath laying on Remembrance Sunday, Citizenship Ceremonies and assessing Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service applicants.
